« Human In The City » is a creative process developed by Skio. Based on a surreal, colorful and graphic transcription of urban space through geometrical shapes and architectural elements inspired by the Bauhaus movement, in which in contrast a human body or a face in shades of grey is partially integrated, thus creating a unique signature style. 

By making the gaze of his character disappear behind various shapes, the artist questions the place of man in the urban landscape and his anonymity. In a world everyday more and more virtual, wether it is through human interaction or the life we share with everyone on social media, this work shines a light on the pressure of uniformity our society puts on people and the standard of beauty forced upon woman among others. It is common to say the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and without them it reinforce this feeling of anonymity, and make way for the ones of the spectator to impersonate these character and reflect on this issue.
