My name is Laura Wagner. I am a 17 year-old girl from São Paulo, Brazil. The project **Eyes for Brazil** aims to help Brazilians from low-income communities facing difficulties accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic. I present to you a collection of 27 artworks- with 8 copies of each– that personify the 26 Brazilian states plus Brasília, the country's federal capital. The illustration that represents Brasilia shows an alien with no eyes, expressing the lack of perspective brought by our authorities' misconduct in handling the pandemic. All artworks will be released over time, and have a different creature wearing a mask. For buyers, their full faces will be disclosed. The illustrations are available as NFTs on the OpenSea platform, and 100% of the funds from net sales and royalties will be used to support verified NGOs (please see our pledge and list of NGOs here).
I believe eyes communicate our most personal, intimate thoughts.
