The COWRIE is a utility gifting token founded in South Africa for the people in need. There will only be 1.4 billion COWRIE. Locked in a Vesting Smart contract and released over 27 years. A tribute to the Father of Africa and noble peace winner Nelson Mandela. COWRIE was borne on the 18 July 2022 which is Mandela Day (Mandela’s birthday). Each year on Mandela day 6,409 COWRIE will be vested into each NFT, and therefore the NFT owner, for the next 26 years equating to a total of 166 634 COWRIE. Each NFT is a One-of-a-kind art piece rich with African flavour. On each NFT trade, 2.5% royalties go directly to the wallet of the local artist and to the Living Artists Emporium who has for years supported the livelihoods of marginalized artists.
