How the NFTree Project Began:
The idea for the NFTree Project was born out of frustration with the ineffective systems we’ve relied on for too long.
Silas Moraes, after reading a book about how governments continuously failed to truly save nature, realized that the same old methods weren’t working.
Every year, the conversation is about deforestation rates—whether they’ve increased or decreased—but the reality is that deforestation never stops. Only the rate changes.
With that realization, Silas saw the potential to leverage technology to drive real change.
Instead of waiting for policies and fines to curb destruction, he envisioned a decentralized solution where people could play a direct role in preserving nature.
He joined forces with two friends and two family members who shared his passion.
Together, they founded the NFTree Project, a community-driven initiative that links NFTs directly to the preservation of native forests.
Each NFTree in this collection represents 10 square meters of forest, capturing up to 0.033 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere. But it’s more than just collecting NFTs; it’s about creating a lasting impact and becoming part of a global community of forest protectors. Every NFTree owner can directly engage with the landowners preserving these forests through our exclusive Discord server, where you can see the real-world difference you're making.
Instead of measuring deforestation rates, we aim to shift the focus toward forest growth rates. We believe in the power of incentives, not penalties. As part of this community, you're investing in the future of the planet and contributing to an innovative, sustainable model of preservation.
The NFTree Project is not just a collection of digital assets; it’s a movement—digital innovation for natural preservation.
Together, we are changing the way conservation works, one NFTree at a time.
