Physical work: "Time (Return of Carousel), 2021, oil on Canvas, 90 ⅹ 72 inch.
"In the spring of 1992, my family and I took a trip to Paris. My 5-year-old daughter was captivated by the carousels scattered across the city, and insisted on riding each one again and again. As a carousel moves, it inevitably returns to its starting point. To her, it wasn't just a simple ride; it was a never-ending journey of eternal bliss where time and space seemed to fade away.

This painting was created in NYC's East Village in 1986, and inspired by a year-long journey from New York to Yucatan, Mexico, via Montreal, Canada, and back again. I had much time to reflect. The concept of Nietzsche's eternal return fueled the creation of the artwork. Remarkably, 40 years later, an animated version of the painting resurfaced, echoing the sentiments of the original work with a timeless smile.
