Banksy Tunnel 2008

The Banksy Tunnel is located where the Eurostar tracks used to be before moving to St Pancras station, London. This tunnel was where the renowned artist Banksy decided to create an urban art exhibition called the "Cans Festival" during the weekend of May 3-5, 2008.

For this exhibition, Banksy invited 39 international artists, giving them the opportunity to create their own graffiti with the condition that they did not cover the graffiti of other artists.

The Banksy Tunnel, also known as the "Leake Street Arches," is still in existence. However, since its initial "Cans Festival" event in 2008, the tunnel has been a popular spot for graffiti and street art, attracting artists from around the world. As such, the artworks in the tunnel have evolved and changed since 2008.

Most of the pieces have been replaced, painted over, or added to by various artists over the years. The tunnel has retained its reputation as a vibrant and ever-changing space for street art.
