I created these visual AI art works by training a generative adversarial network on the collection of 2000 photographs that I captured specifically for the project. The photographs included in the training set consist of still objects made from mostly human-made materials such as glass, steel, or plastic. The artificial light used for illumination emphasizes the contrast between synthetic objects and naturally occurring living entities. When the features of daily life objects are reduced to generic forms and textures, we lose the familiarity associated with them and start to question the building blocks of our closest surroundings.
