Covers is a project that was born in 2014 documenting album covers rephotographed in their original locations around the world. The collection of images presents to the viewer windows into the past, documenting the passing of time and augmenting the significance of geographical areas of the city and their relation to music.

Covers: Retracing Reggae Record Sleeves in London was a collection of 50 reggae covers from 1967 to 1988 rephotographed in the Capital of England. The images provide a fascinating insight into the history of reggae music in the UK, a largely overlooked but immensely important part of Britain’s popular culture and musical identity. The series has been widely shared online, a book was published by One Love Books and the images have been exhibited around the world.

The project is ongoing has now expanded to other cities around the world and documents other musical genres.
