This picture focuses on the underwater world, creating a connection to the first work, which gives us a view of Earth, of Europe, from a macro-world perspective. It depicts an aquatic world represented by this fish, the Bulging-Eyed Fish. It swims in blue water below the surface, and we see the tilted surface of the seawater from a slanted perspective. It looks somewhat like a photographic snapshot or a quick selfie. The fish seems to be deep in thought... In any case, it exudes a certain dignity as it looks at the viewer while releasing air bubbles, as if to say, "Yeah, that’s how it is... I have to come up to the surface to breathe every now and then to become a truly good Bulging-Eyed Fish, because I'm still young...!"
The artwork, aptly titled BULGING-EYED FISH, uses minimal technical accessories, as were available in 1993. I managed to transform the large, white area of the eye into a thinking/glaring eye of the Bulging-Eyed Fish in seconds using a spray spiral and a vertical pupil. I also used the spray settings for the fins and the fin edge! The underwater air bubbles released by the fish were designed with the shape effect palette. The overall color scheme is "freely inserted" and creates this beautifully displaced color surface within and outside the drawn form, reminiscent of Raoul Dufy's style.
