You & It the Musical은 24년 8월 에든버러 페스티벌 프린지에 진출한 최초의 한국 버벌 창작뮤지컬이다. 영국 CDM 프로덕션과의 협업으로 제작되었으며, 현재 웨스트앤드 장기 공연을 기획중에 있다.
나노 사회과 도래하고 사람과 사람 사이에 소통이 단절된 현대 사회에 ‘인간을 인간답게 하는 것이 무엇인가?’에 대한 철학적 질문과, 삶과 사랑의 소중함을 노래한다.
이번 앨범에는 You & It the Musical의 주요 넘버들을 에든버러 공연의 주인공 김상혁, 천재인 배우의 목소리로 담아내었다. 이들의 깊이 있는 해석과 감성으로 표현된 곡들은 작품의 메시지를 더욱 풍성하게 전달하며, 에든버러에서의 감동을 앨범을 통해 고스란히 느낄 수 있다.
You & It the Musical is the first original Korean verbal musical to participate in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, debuting in August 2024. Produced in collaboration with CDM Productions in the UK, it is currently in development for a long-term run in the West End.
In today’s hyper-connected yet isolated society, often termed a "nano-society," where communication between individuals is increasingly rare, the musical explores the philosophical question: “What makes us truly human?” It celebrates the beauty of life and the value of love.
This album features the main numbers from You & It the Musical, performed by the Edinburgh production’s lead actors, Sang-hyeok Kim and Jae-in Cheon. Their profound interpretation and expressive voices enrich the musical's message, allowing listeners to experience the heartfelt emotions from Edinburgh through this album.
EG뮤지컬컴퍼니는 2015년 2월 대구에서 설립되어 현재 서울과 대구에서 창작 뮤지컬을 전문적으로 기획, 제작하는 단체이다. '시대와 세대를 초월해 전 세계가 공유하는 작품'을 선보이는 것을 목표로 하며, 한국적 정서가 돋보이는 인물과 플롯을 통해 세계가 공감할 수 있는 주제의 창작 뮤지컬로 관객들과 소통한다. 감각적 드라마 이해 및 분석을 통한 편곡과 라이브 연주로 대외적인 집중을 받는 '이응규' 감독을 필두로 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 대표작으로는 [YOU&IT], [Fakebook], [러브랭귀지], [모하당 김충선] 등이 있으며, 최근 뮤지컬 [You & It]의 대만 수출, 영국 진출로 한국 뮤지컬을 국제무대에 알리는 데 도전하고 있는 젊고 역동적인 단체이다.
EG Musical Company was established in Daegu in February 2015 and is currently an organization that specializes in planning and producing original musicals in Seoul and Daegu. Our goal is to create "Original musicals shared by the world across the times and generations", and we meet the audience with the original musicals that the world can sympathize with, through characters and plots with Korean sentiments. Director Lee Eung-gyu leads the company, who receives big attention through sensuous arrangements and live performances based on drama understanding and analysis. We are a young and dynamic team that is challenging to promote Korean musicals to the international stage with the recent export of You & It to Taiwan and the UK. Our representative works include [You & It], [Faekbook], [Love Language], [General Kim], etc.
