The Space In Between (TSIB) is a never-ending line that has been the skeleton in my paintings since 1992. While this work has been on the back burner a number of time when I was busy making documentaries about stopping climate change, or doing sculptures using capital as the main medium to help green businesses , it has always resurfaced. A series of happy accidents almost ten years ago led me into a call-center where the only thing I was allowed to do was "doodle" and I knew this was the cosmos giving me 10,000 hours to perfect the line. Since then The Space In Between has evolved in ways I never could have imagined back in the '90s when I just used the line in my VJ sets.

The work is about resonance, like a child's version of the Mandelbrot. They're also like chaos, dependent on the initial conditions. In this sense they're like a nave interpretation of the blockchain itself. They are also very trippy, not only used as psychedelic therapy Rorschach test, but have been known to help people dome down from "bad trips." Last year TSIB were used in a peer-reviewed study published in Springer where people took placebos and then started at the paintings for 4 hours certain they were shifting and melting.
