This one means sooo much to me. I love it so much and I love the person I wrote it for.
I remember a time where i spent days at the hospital by your side, Wondering when I could see the needles and tubes come off, Your body was marred with clots where, Your blood refused to come out.
I remember the days I spent in your bed, For the hospital had no where for me to sleep, The doctors had no answer as to why you were sick. I remember walking to buy you a pack of biscuits, Only to look in your eyes full of longing. A longing to be set free From a place that gave neither of us answers.

Vulnerability 1.0 is a collection that takes after my own suffering and pain as I went through my mental health journey. It is representative of finding solace in words that found its expression in my poetry. As the name suggests, vulnerability is a state of being extremely open to criticism and judgment from anyone and anything. I personally believe that being vulnerable requires a tremendous amount of courage and I see this as the first step to encouraging more people to do the same.
