##Work Title: Still_Waiting_05 (Yueqin player) The work features contemporary photographic details, abstract in nature, pervaded by the image of a Japanese woman of the Meiji era (1868–1912); illustrated with India ink glazes, the female figure appears intent on playing a yueqin, a traditional short-handled lute.

In the composition, you can feel the power of material and colour; at the same time, however, you are gripped by a feeling of introspection that suggests the suspension of time and favours a vision of "melancholic beauty".

##YOKOHAMA Collection The subjects represented in this collection are inspired by photographs from the Yokohama school, founded in Japan in the second half of the 19th century. Each work in the collection features contemporary photographic details pervaded by scenes of Japanese life from over a century ago. This encounter between contemporary photography and faces and bodies from the Meiji era (1868–1912) gives rise to a suspension of time that becomes an indelible mark on each Still Waiting creation.

The India ink figures, presenting the main body in focus and some blurred outlines, recall the "three-dimensional" language of the material (which often seems to emerge, almost to the point of bursting out, from the photographic details). In addition, each work has the Still Waiting logo (hand-drawn and created specifically for the brand) which becomes the signature of the two artists.
