I am from Kyiv. This is my hometown where I have spent my whole life. This winter my boyfriend and I decided to spend the winter in Spain because the Kyiv winters are quite harsh. 8 days ago my morning began with a message from my sister about the Russian invasion. The first thought was - you need to go home immediately. But it was impossible and now I do not know when I will return. Now I have a forced Eurotrip. I am a refugee. My world is collapsing before my eyes. All my relatives stayed in Kyiv. Every night I go to bed with the understanding that maybe today we talked for the last time. Every morning I wake up thinking what I will do when I get home. I found a way not to go crazy. I keep a diary of the war and draw because the war will end and we will tell our children about these horrors just as my grandmother once told me. Pain and despair, faith and hope. This is a fierce mixture that now lives in the heart of every Ukrainian. I know that no one will ever take away our will. After all, we are ready to die for it, and we are ready to kill for it.
