It is January 21, 1959. The bridge operator is not paying attention. The rain is freezing and frozen ice chunks are breaking apart. The ships are coming down the river in Buffalo, New York. Watch out, people! These boats are going to crash, and they are going to hit the bridge. The bridge is going to collapse. It will be in the river, it will become a dam, and the ice jam is going to build up to a 2 mile backup. This is the Petition of Kinsman Transit, this is a page of my notebook about the insanity of who is legally in trouble for the cluster that day.
This is law come alive: flowcharts, illustrations, and comics! I drew these when I was a law student and trying to figure out how the legal system works. I took notes in rough sketches, metaphors, and flowcharts. Then I made them beautiful, to make sure I really did understand what happens when you end up in the legal system.
