Founded in 2009, RLabs, started as a simple act of kindness to inspire HOPE in a group of young people from difficult circumstances. Its humble beginnings took this movement from a single room on the Cape Flats, equipped with one old computer accessing the Internet via a dial-up connection, to impacting millions of people across 5 continents. Believing that everyone has potential to be the change in their communities, this generation of young people have committed themselves to making HOPE contagious with a goal of impacting 2 billion people by 2030. This NFT is based on the work by renowned Cape Flats artist Dion Cupido that tells the story of the group of young people known as "The 4th Generation" through a combination of abstraction and portraiture using street art techniques to explore memory and identity.
