I used to dance alone in my dreams while business was on hold. The unsaid words float in the air. An unmanageable fear. So here I am dancing as always to the dry sound of the guitar and fleeing my reality in silence. My dress brushing the glittering dust. With this urge to kick the life of my heels onto the hardwood floor and scream my presence, but in fact, I back up and stumble. I look up and there you are. Me with this fear in my stomach. Think again, I'm not afraid of anyone. I'm afraid I'll be disappointed and think I'm flying in one of my dreams, when truth be told, I'll fall deeper into dark reality if my dreams don't come true. Life has not often smiled on me, it has deprived me of many joys. So, I'm going to pretend I don't need a dance partner, until you come and give me that dance. Maybe the song will only last a few minutes, maybe it will be forever. Only God knows.
