An incident involving an unknown creature was recorded in Sumidouro, district of Nova Friburgo, located in the Serrana region of the Rio de Janeirio State. The incident was recorded this Sunday early morning (01).

According to information that was passed on to our report, the animal invaded a residence of an elderly couple, located next to the Two Brothers grocery store and killed the small dog "Nick". The tragedy was barely greater. According to Iris Mikely, granddaughter of the couple who used social media to report the case, the creature invaded the residence in the early hours of the morning. It is believed that the case is related to a predator that attacked the creations of the Miss Hermínia Bianchi farm, at Two Sisters Rock site, that same night. The family was woken up by the barking of the dog "Nick". Believing it to be a thief, the owner, Mr. Dinho Oliveira, (75), checked from the second floor window, and realized that it was not something known that was attacking the family dog.

"When I saw that that animal wasn't a robber! I took my camera and went down to the kitchen. Through the kitchen window I managed to take two photos, while the people at home call the police. Nick fought and attacked the animal to protect us. I've never seen anything like it. Nick will be missed and memories that will never be forgotten." – wrote Mr. Dinho.

Also according to the information, it is not the first time that a unknown creature invades residences in the region. Shortly after the incident, the Military Police arrived at the scene. The relatives of the elderly will call the competent authorities in search of answers. After the fight with the dog, the creature jumped into the cistern of the house and in an impressive leap, reached the wall from which it jumped at the back of the house, towards Antônio Bernardo Street. Nova Friburgo environmental battalion was notified and the Communications Office promised an investigation soon.
