The main task of our cutterhead is to dig a tunnel with a diameter of approximately 0.5m. It consists of a cutting wheel, rotating drum, housing, sealed bearing, mechanical face sealing, ring gear, four synchronous motors and an auger with the relevant housing and bearing.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the future of mobility. We see tunnels as a technology destined for disruption and want to shape the future of tunneling with innovative concepts. Currently, we aim to build the world’s fastest tunnel boring machine (TBM) and won Elon Musk’s Not-a-Boring Competition together with the Technical University of Munich. Our team was selected from nearly 400 teams worldwide and claimed the victory in the US in September 2021.
