Prayer is the believer's appeal to God, gods, other supernatural or God-associated beings, and the canonized text of this appeal. Prayer often takes the form of worship, praise, supplication, or simply the expression of one's thoughts. Prayer also often takes the form of a rite. Prayer is the offering of the mind and heart to God, it is the reverent word of man to God.
