The concept of "Russian peace" has been actively promoted by the Kremlin over the past decade as an "ideology" that presupposes unity based on several common characteristics: Russian language and culture, common history, and the Russian Orthodox Church. The influence of the "Russian world" became extremely tangible for Ukraine 7 years ago, when Russia invaded Ukraine, occupied Crimea and part of its eastern regions. The concept was used to legitimize Russian aggression, as it proclaimed certain territories of Ukraine culturally belonging to the "Russian world".
