This is a one man team as of the time of launch, but with plans to bring on talented folk should the project substantially grow. And while there are PC tools and apps to generate 1000s of various NFTs so as to distribute a voluminous collection, this “experiment in controversial community building” is designed with other mapped-out goals in mind. Republican Jesus NFT Club artwork fuses the concepts imbued in the popular political genre of memes with NFTs aimed at providing both “value” and strong community building in a manner that has yet to be tested. The artist behind this project admits that this could be too vitriolic” to become adopted by NFT collectors by and large; but, by the same token vitriol - the highly controversial - has often times created unpredictable “viral storms of interest.”

While most NFTs do not center around a polarizing or controversial social media “joke,” this means there is a space begging to be explored. The Republican Jesus “joke” has expanded into a very large international discourse and pop-culture phenomenon that seeks to expose, or at least mocks, conservative or right wing religiosity which re-brands “The Prince of Peace” as a figure in their own image.

Before transferring rights the artist wishes to qualify the new owner to ensure use of the intellectual property is not for any misuse nor for any disparagement, defamation, dilution, or destructive purposes with respect to the grandfather project. Lawful use would be, for instance, to create derivative projects, sell merch, create promotional products, develop and publish media, and much more as these are just several.
