He was born in Detroit, MI, and is a midyear enrollee after playing for his school in Martin Luther King High School. Tyrece worked his way into the rotation as a true freshman in 2019. He has done his majors in Business Administration. He was ranked no. 28 on Detroit News 2019 Blue Chip List and Academic All-State and was a four-time Principals List Award winner. Woods played in 13 games in the year 2021, made a starting six, credited with 19 tackles, including four tackles-for-loss, and three sacks. He made a season-high six tackles and forced a fumble at Western Michigan. He tallied three tackles, including 1 1/2 sacks, in consecutive games at Ball State (11/17) and vs. Eastern Michigan (11/26), he also recovered a fumble vs. EMU.
