The war in Afghanistan is reflected in this painting, with the side rushing in towards the viewer depicted as the Americans and NATO with their drones and modern military and the Afghans facing them with their old weapons and refined guerrilla warfare tactics that has repulsed many an empire. The Afghans represented in the painting look on with ease at the charging American and NATO armies like they've seen this all before.

Each NFT takes an old masterpiece and re-interprets it to showcase a modern theatre of conflict, war or protest. Subtly highlighting the nuances of that conflict whilst aligning it within the masterpiece. It depicts a what if the modern conflict (now) was to have taken place then paradigm.
