Just like the shedding of leaves is an indicator of autumn, the blossoming of flowers heralds spring, and the rainbow is indicative of the rains. Vivid colors always turns heads and catches attention, so we sometimes get lost in our imaginations of the fantasies we often wish we could make our reality. And so we live life in colors to make us forget the cruelties that are ever present beneath the surface.
This collection is inspired by a visit to the pyramids at Giza. One of the wonders of civilization, Sphinx, and the pyramids at Giza showcase the great engineering prowess of ancient Egyptian civilization and highlights the glorious times of their Pharaohs. It also depicts my various interpretations of royalty through the different styles of dressing and regalia worn by African women at various occasions and events.
