During her early revolutionary years, Michelle would sit in this Havana residential courtyard contemplating a strategy to bring about free elections in Cuba. This painting is a celebration of inhabiting a physical space of stillness, which also contains the vibrant activity of imagining and crafting a liberated political landscape. Michelle’s attention to detail is very evident in the Spanish-tiled roof, stone exterior and flooring, as well as the lush palm and bougainvillea; two of her favorite indigenous to the area.

This is a 1/1 NFT of the original 22" x 30" inch oil painting.

Michelle's paintings are currently being shown at the Millennium Gate Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. Michelle's exhibition debuted on the 26th of June 2021 and will continue for the following months.

On the same day that Michelle's artworks debuted, the Cuban community of Atlanta came together at the Millennium Gate Museum to celebrate liberty for Cuba. This day was officially declared José Martí Day by the governor of Georgia. During this event, a statue of José Martí was revealed by the Martí Historical Society, Inc. with well-known guests Andy García and Enrique Chia. We hope this statue serves as a symbol representing hope for a free Cuba, and not just Cuba, but in all places... As if a signal fire from God declared to us what was to come for Cuba on July 11th, 2021.

Michelle's art reminds us of the light of this world. Taking us through the sacred hallway to the sea that sets us free. Michelle's art now walks the seas of OpenSea with NFTs of her oil paintings.
