For many 'low caste' girls and women from nomadic cultures in India, prositution is commonly passed down from Mother to daughter and the act of pimping from father to son for survival. But along the Indo-Nepal border of Bihar - one of the poorest districts of India - mothers trapped in a lifetime of prostitution their campaigned with the anti-sex trafficking NGO, Apne Aap, for a boarding school to protect their daughters from the same fate.

The Kasturba Gandhi girls school houses some 100 girls, many of whom come from the red-light areas or low-caste farming families. They are the first in their country to learn to read and write. These girls are admitted to the school at the age of 9, just when a trafficker is likely to prey upon them.

The education provided to the girls helps to break the cycle of intergenerational prostitution and curb the selling of them as child brides. Yet the girls are still vulnerable to sex-traffickers who routinely prowl the outside of the school hoping to abduct them into a life of prostitution. These young girls live in a life of peril.

The Women's Rights NFT Charity Event collection image

17+ women from across the world to raise money for the vetted charities they personally choose within their communities that work within the realms of women's rights, contraception aid, and needed healthcare services. This is where NFTs will be used to create actionable social good and provide much-needed services to those who need them, now.

Each of our featured artists is choosing a women's rights charity to provide their auctioned funds to. 95%-100% of each auctioned piece will go to the charity and an optional, per artists choice, 5% will go to the artist.

Why women's rights? A large part of our organizations are women and to think that any of us don't get equal rights, access, and healthcare is well..infuriating and terrifying. We have the ability to create change that lasts and start a ripple of social good events that give us, as a community, the autonomy over our own rights.
