Shapes that sometimes fit together and sometimes don't. Put together by myself? Often not. A picture put together entirely by someone else? Often yes. Ill fitting pieces that dig into my rib cage and the back of my knees, that remind me to de-puff my eyes but re-puff my lips, age with grace but don't age at all until one day the pieces will stop fitting altogether and I will shed them like a snake sheds it's skin, I will open my mouth wide so the world can see my fangs as I swallow it whole.
Aslan Ruby is donating 100% of the proceeds from this piece to the Cove Project.
"The Cova Project provides menstrual cups and menstrual health education to people who menstruate, across Africa. We do this in an effort to help bridge the 50 day school attendance gap due to menstruation. We work with exceptional local partner organisations to distribute these cups responsibly and with materials specifically tailored to the communities we are impacting. We create and distribute educational materials, with accurate visual representation of the girls, to build confidence as they strengthen their knowledge around personal health and development. The Cova Project believes in 'ACCESS, EDUCATION AND DIGNITY'."
17+ women from across the world to raise money for the vetted charities they personally choose within their communities that work within the realms of women's rights, contraception aid, and needed healthcare services. This is where NFTs will be used to create actionable social good and provide much-needed services to those who need them, now.
Each of our featured artists is choosing a women's rights charity to provide their auctioned funds to. 95%-100% of each auctioned piece will go to the charity and an optional, per artists choice, 5% will go to the artist.
Why women's rights? A large part of our organizations are women and to think that any of us don't get equal rights, access, and healthcare is well..infuriating and terrifying. We have the ability to create change that lasts and start a ripple of social good events that give us, as a community, the autonomy over our own rights.
