In early 2021, it is difficult not to speculate pessimistically about the direction the world is going. It seems like at this stage that developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning are likely to only accelerate and I cannot help but wonder if we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction. To what extent is the conflict of this day and age a result of social media algorithms that are set to promote interaction? It is not really the robots that will burn down the world, after all, it is the people that created them.
