Initially brave they enlist make their journey a little paramilitary training and are thrown into combat theaters they had previously experienced only in video games sitting at their desks. Catapulted into hell on earth these young men who thought they were brave and invincible discover the horrors of war with their own eyes and from human beings they become frightened rabbits observing the horrors no longer from the screen of their desks but on the battlefield. one this particular shot one of these young men has just noticed the glare above him. From a young hero in an imperceptible instant he turns into a rabbit, his cap is pierced by his long ears his gaze becomes puzzled and before he has even realized what is happening his face melts this is because a small tactical nuclear bomb has just detonated above him. The effects on the body of these devices are called 'Flash Burns': Flash burns result from the absorption of radiant energy by the skin of exposed individuals. A distinguishing feature of flash burns is that they are limited to the exposed areas of skin in front of the blast. And this photo is meant to capture that instant when these boys imbued with fake bravery induced by movies and video games decide out of boredom and money to enlist as mercenaries and learn firsthand what is the true horror of war only to come to a tragic end and realize only at the last moment...what really matters...that they will never return and that war is not a game and should be repudiated.
