The video mapping show 'nftapping' is the world's first collaborative audiovisual performance designed to become an nft. 75 works of different artists that were included in the final piece were thoroughly selected from over 200 submissions from 38 countries received by the Pitch team as a result of an international open call. The show was presented at the Intervals international multimedia festival in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia on 27-29 August, 2021.
The idea behind this project was to comprise selected crypto artworks in a single digital piece that would be minted by the number of the participants, which we finally did as an issue of 75 nfts. This experimental project eventually went far beyond the collaborative idea, for it covered some important aspects of digital economy such as regulations in the area of digital production, copyright law issues and the future of artistic freedom including freedom of distribution.
We see it as a first case of new possible nft format that we propose: non-tradfble nft that by default is not designed for reselling but could be shared, gifted or shown for non-commercial use.
Pitch is an engineering bureau that works at the juncture of new media, multimedia technologies and art. We create conceptual spaces such as museums, exhibitions, city objects and develop ideas for shows and events with extensive experience of the particular developments.
Pitch produces all kinds of graphical content, AR and VR applications, projection, lighting, holographic and kinetic installations of any complexity - and provides high level multimedia integration and interactive technologies.
Pitch is a creative team and a tech-driven company with new approaches to its assets, including NFTs. We seek answers for fundamental questions by means of emerging technologies.
