during my work with processing, fragments of minimal plants and noise-based landscape structures emerged. i was fascinated by dynamically programmed image compositions and constructions, random values, perlin-noise and deterministic chaos.
it seemed possible to simulate realistic physical behavior very similar to what i've observed in nature. i wanted to make something like a wild meadow, which expresses a wild and chaotic structure but at the same time a certain order but realized with many possibilities / freedoms.
i usually abstracted naturalistic elements more and more into basic geometric forms. although one may still associate the theme “landscape with flowers”, on closer inspection there is not much left other than lines and circles. this corresponds to my feeling for the reduction of content-related information carriers in favor of the composition. bare components account for the large distribution of forces and remain visible.
