We walked around our new terrain, careful to see where we were standing. She jumped on top of the white machine that sat next to the PC, reaching high to catch a tiny fly. She then turned towards the window, froze on the spot, and started growling. Her tail swayed swiftly from side to side as she focused on her target, the rest of her body still and alert, ready to take action against our new threat. I looked up from my very specialized jungle camera. What could she possibly be so intent upon? And then I saw it: the neighbor’s kid likes to do handstands.

"If everything's perfect all the time there isn't a story. [...] An event of some kind interrupts the pattern, and with that interruption, the story is kicked off." Margaret Atwood

And so, with a pandemic, the story was kicked off.

Seeking to make out of the "ordinary" something special. Looking at specific crevices in my then everyday routine. Observing the mundane objects I took for granted, a bigger, more valuable, and much enjoyable picture came into view, and this collection (both part I & II) was born.

Hope you enjoy these illustrations as much as I've loved creating them.
