'Surroundings' was originally submitted to the mythical digital art site Desktopography in 2013. And Adobe selected it as the Illustrator CC 2017 splash screen. This piece is one of the most relevant to me. It was the work that defined my vectored style: I used to work doing vectored abstract landscapes with colorful gradients. But in late 2016 I started working in screen printing based artwork, doing gig posters and alternative movie posters. Working in screen printing means using just a few inks and flat colors, so, I couldn't continue working with colorful gradients. On the other hand, Photoshop, is best suited for screen printing, so I definitively move to Photoshop and my style changed completely. The funny story is that justly in that period Adobe selected it as the Illustrator CC 2017 splash screen.
