Bagels on the Ave 3.67/5

Store
Medium-sized, rectangular store. Unusual, curved walls with lego-style nubs suggest perhaps the store was something else previously. Crisp signage, no emphasis on bagels or spreads. Virtually no pastry options and limited drink selection. Fast, friendly service.
3.5/5

Bagel
Large bagel. Toppings one side only, no salt. A dominant garlic covering, which is the way to go if you're going to have one seasoning reign supreme. A soft bagel, but not hot. For me personally it's a nice change of pace as I'm essentially eating a garlic bagel, but as it's meant to be an everything the score takes a slight hit.
3.75/5

Cream Cheese
A cool, thick whip with even application and good quantity. A crisp, eraser-sized scallion chop lends good texture. Some passing glances at overcheese but very solid otherwise.
3.75/5

Everything Is Everything NYC collection image

The definitive bagel survey of New York City. 202 bagels reviewed across all five boroughs, with notes of distinction given to the best stores, spreads and bagels. http://everythingiseverything.nyc/

The collection is part one of "Post Clarity," a 5-part NFT series documenting "2020: Total Clarity" by creative duo Highley Varlet. During "Total Clarity," artists Mike Varley and Jessi Highet walked 260 marathons and 7,000 miles around the five boroughs of NYC over one calendar year. https://highleyvarlet.com/
