Liliana was born to a humble family of farmers in a small village outside of the elven wood. When Liliana was five, her parents were killed by a band of orcs who raided her village. Liliana was taken captive and sold into slavery, where she was forced to work in the fields until she was rescued by a group of adventurers. After her rescue, Liliana joined the group of adventurers and began to learn the ways of magic. As she grew older, Liliana began to realize that she had a special connection with the natural world. She could commune with animals and plants, and she had a deep understanding of the magical forces that flowed through the world. Liliana decided to dedicate her life to serving the gods as a priestess. For many years, Liliana traveled the land, helping those in need and spreading the word of her god. She gained a reputation as a skilled healer and an insightful counselor. One day, while traveling through the forest, Liliana came across a group of bandits who were attacking a helpless traveler. Without hesitating, Liliana leapt to action and fought off the bandits using her magic. The traveler was so grateful for her help that they offered Liliana a reward: an enchanted necklace that would allow her to understand any language spoken to her. Liliana continued to wear this necklace throughout her travels, using it to help people from all walks of life. She became known as the Priestess who could speak any language, and she was revered by many for her kindness and compassion. One day, while working in her garden, Liliana heard a voice calling out to her from inside the house. When she went to see what it was, she found an injured bird lying on the floor. The bird called out to Liliana in its own language, asking for help. Without hesitation, Liliana took care of the bird until it healed completely. The bird thanked Liliana by teaching her how to speak its language fluently. From then on, animals began coming from all over seeking out Liliana's help. News of her skills spread far and wide, until one day even the elves came to ask for her aid. The elves were being attacked by a group of vicious trolls who threatened to destroy their forest home unless they were given tribute in gold every month. Liliana met with the trolls and offered them hospitality instead of gold; she cooked them meals and sang them songs long into the night (with help from some helpful animals). As they got drunker and drunker on mead (which they hadn't been expecting), they started confessing their reasons for terrorizingt he elves - none moreso than their leader: an enormous ogre who made them do it so he could eat any tasty elf children he wanted! They'd been trying - unsuccessfully -to kill him for years but he always managedto outsmart them; even right now he had half their gold already hidden away somewhere! Furious at this news but not wantingto show it while they were still there (and potentially get eaten),Lilianapretendedto be very sad when they left; pitying them for being so downtrodden (even ifitwasn'ttrue).
