This song was inspired by my experience at the 2021 Bitcoin conference in Miami. I filmed a documentary NFT experience about my first time attending. It was amazing and so life altering that I immediately wrote the song right after the conference ended. My new understanding and appreciation for DeFi has expanded my imagination for what is possible in life.

I had heard of NFTs months earlier but didn’t know much about them or how they worked, but as an artist, I was very interested. A friend told me that Gaetano Lococo was having a speaking engagement about NFTs at the Oakland Art Library so I went there and met him. I showed him my music video “Spac Dream”, the rap I made about my new understanding of the financial industry, and he said “YOU should BE an NFT”.

Fast forward, he told me about the Bitcoin 2021 Conference about 1 week before it started and I asked him if I could still attend. He said yes, showed me how to set up a Coinbase account so I could purchase one of the remaining tickets with bitcoin.

I am only minting 12,000 of this audio NFT song because that is how many people were at the Bitcoin 2021 conference with me, and I want them to all have the opportunity to be included in this piece of history along with me.

As an artist, my creations are a reflection of my life experiences. The song “Tokenomics” is special to me because is represents my new found understanding and passion for “this crypto and that blockchain”, and the history and individuals involved in the creation and explosion of blockchain technology, which I know is the future of data and information sharing.
