Premiering on the 1st of May at the prestigious CPH:DOX festival in Copenhagen (Denmark), this historical live-streamed documentary invites audiences to witness one hour in the life of refugees around the globe. The film is unfiltered, unrepeatable, and materialises in real-time.
Filmed with mobile phones and scored live by the acclaimed composer Chiara Costanza, this live documentary allows refugees in Kenya, Uganda, Jordan, Indonesia and Greece to gain full control on how their stories of hope and resilience are told.
The project is independently produced by award-winning filmmaker Michael Beets, and is presented in collaboration with the Oscar-nominated impact production company Think-Film Impact Production.
This is an ongoing project with ambitious impact goals that we intend to develop further in 2021/22, using it as a tool to bring the refugee struggle in front of key decision makers internationally.
