In both Christianity and Islam, the divine garden is a sacred motif: all the senses are stimulated and there is order and peace. But what if you can't visit the garden? What if the gates to heaven remain closed to you?! How can someone inside enjoy all that splendor if they know that the gate remains closed to others?

It is a dilemma of inclusivity and exclusivity. You always belong to a group, but not everyone belongs to the group that is well off or you want to belong to, and for some, the grass is always greener on the other side. So there is also a second dilemma: comparison.

Does Paradise have multiple gardens? If so, would some be more pleasant and beautiful than others? This garden has one thousand token holders that have access to the most exhilarating pond in paradise. By holding the token, you yourself become a gatekeeper. What kind of gatekeeper do you choose to be?

One thousand gatekeepers of the most exhilarating pond in paradise has 1000 editions. The Krona Museum in the Netherlands will mint this work too. By doing so they will be the first museum or one of the first museums in the Netherlands to include an NFT in their collection.

I will use an artwork from their collection to add an extra layer to this piece and print those as fine art prints. These prints will be available in the museum only.

I worked on One thousand gatekeepers for two months. Each layer is made with great effort, more than you would expect of a digital artwork. The haste with which we currently consume images may be valued differently in the future and you may be someone who wants to look at a digital artwork longer and more intensively than a few seconds. I hope so, because the experience of art is best when it is intense. I hope you will enjoy my genesis piece on async blue prints.
