On November 22, 1986, Mike Tyson fought Trevor Berbick for the WBC Heavyweight Championship at the Las Vegas Hilton in Paradise, Nevada in a matchup billed as "Judgment Day". From the opening bell, Tyson completely overwhelmed Berbick with his speed and strength through the first round before ultimately finishing him off in Round 2. Tyson rocked Berbick with a quick right to the body and then a strong left hook to the head that dropped him to the canvas. Berbick tried valiantly to get back to his feet, but Mike's punching power was ultimately too much to overcome: Berbick fell down twice before referee Mills Lane ended the fight, awarding Tyson the victory. With the victory Tyson secured the WBC Heavyweight Championship belt and celebrated with manager and promoter Don King after the fight.
