This project is a continuation of my research on particle systems. I like this process: using an algorithm to tame the chaos that particles create when they are impacted. And turn them into a finished work of art. It reminds us of our life: unlike chaos, we are constantly striving to build some kind of system, to gain a sense of balance and structure. The emergence of the concept was, in a certain sense, spontaneous, like much in the work with generative art. While experimenting with the code, I found an image that strongly reminded me of the abstract expressionist aesthetic. Many associations have emerged. Apart from abstract expressionism, it reminded me of the work of the Gutai group. Their work, often emerging from spontaneous meditation, has always been close to my heart. While working on the project, I delved deeper into their philosophy, which became even closer and clearer to me. After all, Gutai was founded in post-war Japan, and the artists of the group developed freedom of expression. While engaging with the enigmatic realm of chaotic phenomena, I find myself immersed in a meditative state, gently guiding the unruly currents of my thoughts. It is a graceful endeavor, seeking to imbue them with serenity and hush their ceaseless gallop. I explore different states of chaos and our emotions. From barely manageable to gradually gathering into a coherent system.
