Cascade Dreamscape
From the summit of the illusive Mount Blum in October 2022.
I had seen a blurry photograph of these rugged mountains in a trip report from nearly twenty years ago and instantly knew that I needed to see this landscape with my own eyes.
After a beyond grueling ascent up the slopes of Mount Blum, I stood atop the summit and was rewarded with slightly hazy views of these peaks. Mount Bacon looming in the distance truly caps off this scene as my favorite layer shot that I've captured to date.
A collection of 30 1/1 images captured amongst the rugged mountains of the North Cascades in Washington, by Daniel Fowler. Over 200 miles traveled on foot, over 100,000 feet of elevation gain climbed, almost four years of persevering in the mountains, and well over 150,000 photographs taken...welcome to Cascade Dreamscape.
Throughout my life, I dreamt of going on adventurous expeditions to the farthest reaches of our planet, especially the remote mountains here in the United States. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of being able to document these fragile environments and have seen first hand just how quickly they are changing due to climate change. These photographs are just brief moments frozen in time that help document the beautiful glaciated landscapes of the North Cascades.
