They speak a language coming from the Tupi trunk, known as Tupi-Mondé, which share, with small variations, with their neighbors, The Hawks, The Suruís-Paíters and The Foxes. The Cinta Larga groups are hunting as their main subsistence activity, combined with a small agriculture - of tubers (yams, cassava and corn), activity clearly depreciated compared to hunting.
