The first ever NFT edition of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe.

This will be the first time that a novel has been minted entirely on the blockchain and ONLY accessible to the smart contracted owner, making these editions truly unique in both the worlds of publishing and NFT creation.

We have collaborated with the incredibly talented Luc Hespel, otherwise known as @Urbanplastic, to design the cover.

Unlike several other creators in this space, Bookvolts is the only publisher and platform provider that has successfully minted an entire novel through blockchain technology, separating ourselves from previous attempts to simply create the NFT token and either provide an open link to the PDF file, or in other cases, to simply promise a printed edition of the book in exchange for the NFT token. BookVolts has developed the minting function that enables an entire text to be smart contracted and gatewayed to a single owner.

In celebration of this feat, we wanted to pick a text that is renowned the world over for being considered the first ever novel in the English language (and yes, we know there are some other contenders!) – originally published in 1719, the book was so popular that it ran through 4 editions before the end of the year.
