This algorithm was created and published by Dr. Edsger W. Dijkstra, a brilliant Dutch computer scientist and software engineer. If you have ever used Google Maps to travel from a place to another you definitely encountered a revisited version of the original Dijkstra Shortest Path Algorithm. Dijkstra's Algorithm allows you to calculate the shortest path between one node of your choice (a place like your home) and every other node in a graph (the destination point).
