Douglas Da Silva Araujo's art is a direct manifestation of his life story. Growing up without parents and with a lot of difficulties, also facing bipolar disorder, Douglas clung to painting with strength, transforming it into a refuge and at the same time a tool to change his own destiny. Within its rich colors, brushed with fury and patience, the chaos and order that pervaded his life emerges. Infinite flows, of thought and reality, that the artist pours on the canvas without wanting to give a precise reference. In seeing one of his paintings we are not facing a message written for us, but we are spectators of a sublime encounter, of his very personal and intimate relationship with art.
