The work "Tra i pampini" by Piero Ligas is part of the series "Ammentos", in Sardinian "memories", a cycle of paintings dedicated to the evocation of the painter's existential experiences, linked to his youth spent in his native country .
The author uses jute to guide the observer on the backward journey of his own existence. This material medium immediately evokes the roughness of the agro-pastoral reality. The series of Ammentos sounds like a nostalgic song of a distant time, withered like the vine leaves whose impression can be glimpsed in the painting, but from which the sweetness of memory still falls asleep.
