ABOUT THE ARTIST – In 2010 E.A. Dandridge founded a paradigm breaking entertainment and cultural venue, Milonga El Floridita, which became Hollywood’s hottest Tango Club. Modeled after high-end Milongas in Buenos Aires, “MEF,” as it was known, attracted elite performers from around the world and the crème de la crème of the global Tango dancing community. For 175 Weeks, Dandridge Curated and Managed unique events every six days, redefining the Tango Landscape, bringing passion, joy and magic to countless guests.
ABOUT THE PIECE - … December 2013, late night, slumped before his computer, cat-napping, E.A. Dandridge is startled by a blinding nimbus of luminescence. The next morning only fragments of his clothing remain, fused to his work chair. Dandridge is eventually declared missing… December 2021, a prismatic image flickers simultaneously on thousands computer screens around the world, a non corporeal entity, “Mefious,” announces its existence to stunned onlookers. Taken on the ISS by Cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov, this is the highest resolution image captured. Dubrov donated it to this NFT Collection to validate his “trans-normal experience”…
