Deerfoot-Bad Meat or Api-kai-ees meaning "scabby dried meat" or "bad meat" (born in 1864 in Siksika territory. Died in 1897 Calgary, Alberta District, North-West Territories).He was a Siksika runner from Western Canada whose most noted achievement was winning the 1886 Calgary Star-Rink Endurance Race. Tipi design is in representation of the Blackfoot culture. “Kiitokii’s beautifully orchestrated compositions are enhanced in breadth and depth by his versatile use of colors, a mélange of contrasting tactile surfaces, and acute spatial perception. Stimulating elements of indigenous culture and reality are wedded in perfect harmony and balance. Today Kiitokii is an accomplished visual artist with his masterpiece creations collected by art buyers world wide.” This is Kiit's genesis piece
