I am a craftsman of nielloware. I am familiar with the Thai patterns adapted from flowers or various Thai arts. The vase piece with a cut base uses the cotton rose pattern and is emphasized with a clear glass material that is likened to the essence of a pure human being placed on a flower pattern base. The display is designed with the changing light, shadow and temperature to articulate the stimuli of greed, anger, and delusion similar to the changing colors of cotton roses that can always turn pure white.
